Your Bio
Lin Jones came a long way to become a photographer in Ann Arbor.
Lin had a bachelor degree in Economics in China, and a master degree in International Business in Australia. She moved to Ann Arbor at the end of 2001, meanwhile started to pursue photography as her career. Through the lens, she discovered the beauty of the world and the wonder of the life. Lin also likes writing. "Writing can release my emotion, and therefore, free my soul. " She has published a book in China.
Lin loves exploring new places and making friends with new people. So traveling is another life passion for her. "Life is a journey to learn, to grow, to love, and to explore this world and yourself." That is Lin's belief. To her, photography and traveling are the vehicles to take her down along this path.
Lin won Jerry Uelsmann Choice Award in 2005 Great Lakes Digital Conference. Since July 2005, Lin has been working as a staff photographer for Photo Services of University of Michigan.
2007 after coming back from Santa Fe Workshop, Lin started a photo project called Soul Mate, which is about the relationship between the musicians and their music instruments. Photographer Karen Kuehn is among many others as her inspiration.
